Terms and Conditions

MidoriLens connects buyers with independent Photographer/Video Grapher professionals in Japan. By using the platform, you agree to these marketplace terms.

Bookings and payments

Bookings are requests until payment is completed through Stripe and the Photographer/Video Grapher confirms availability.

The platform commission is 10% of the booking total. Photographer funds are held for 14 days after payment confirmation unless fraud, dispute, or policy violations require review.

After the client confirms an order as completed, the order is final and there is no money back except where applicable law requires otherwise or MidoriLens confirms fraud, non-delivery, or a serious policy violation.

Cancellations, rescheduling, and weather

The Photographer/Video Grapher published cancellation policy applies unless a written booking agreement says otherwise. Buyers should request changes in-app as early as possible. Weather, transit disruption, venue closure, illness, or safety concerns may require a mutually agreed reschedule.

Refund eligibility depends on work already performed, non-refundable travel or permit costs, the cancellation window, and applicable consumer law. MidoriLens may review disputed cancellations but does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Deliverables and editing

The booking should identify approximate image/video count, delivery format, editing style, preview timing, final turnaround, storage period, camera or video specs when relevant, and whether RAW files are included. RAW files are excluded unless explicitly agreed and may carry extra charges.

The Photographer/Video Grapher will edit, enhance, color-correct, retouch, or produce photos and videos only to the level decided in the booking request or written in-app agreement. Extra editing, RAW delivery, rush delivery, and video post-production should be quoted before the order is accepted.

Copyright and usage licenses

Photographers retain copyright unless ownership is transferred in a separate written agreement. Personal bookings include personal-use rights only. Advertising, resale, publication, brand campaigns, and other commercial uses require an appropriate written license.

Photographer/Video Grapher obligations

Photographer/Video Grapher professionals must provide accurate profiles, lawful portfolio material, truthful rates, equipment details, delivery terms, and professional communication. Approval badges may be removed if trust or quality standards are not maintained.

Buyer obligations

Buyers must provide accurate booking details, disclose commercial use, obtain participant and venue permissions where required, respect local rules, and use the platform for legitimate bookings only.

Safety and professional conduct

Harassment, discrimination, dangerous instructions, illegal location access, and abusive communication are prohibited. Either party may stop a session when continuing would be unsafe. Serious incidents should be reported through support.

Platform rights

We may suspend accounts, reverse approval status, pause payouts, or remove content where needed for fraud prevention, copyright compliance, abuse handling, or legal obligations.
